Lubricating Screws for Easy Installation

When you are doing a big remodel or buidling a house you pick up little tricks along the way that can really help out. Some tricks were found in the piles of magazines that I bought for inspiration and some were given to us by the folks that helped us with the building.

We can't remember where we got this idea but it works great.  We attached a metal electrical box to our roving workbench and filled it with a wax ring.  The kind you use when installing a toilet.  Nasty sticky stuff but works like a dream for lubricating screws.  Just run the screw over the wax, you don't need too much, just a little on the threads will do the trick.
