Does Feng Shui Really Work?

by angiehComment Published at 21:5621:560 comments 0 comments41 Visits 41 Visits
On Sunday, I visited my friend's new flat. She, being an Australian of European descent, asked me whether she had good feng shui in her house or not. I said it was fine, although her back door was facing her front door without any interruptions. I said that would be the only bad thing, I think (not that i even know that much about feng shui!) because that is supposed to symbolise good luck or money flowing in from the front of the house and escaping through the back of the house easily.

She confided in me that the lock from her letterbox had come off, and she also received an anonymous note saying that the previous person who had lived in the flat had been bashed up in the flat.

So the previous tenant must have had a bit of bad luck being bashed up in the flat!

Curiously enough, there's a restaurant in Perth that used to be really unsuccessful and changed owners regularly. The new owners changed the door location and now that restaurant is doing really successfully - even though the food is atrocious. Funny huh? I wonder if it actually works...!

Feng Shui Master ruined the house!

by angiehComment Published at 19:4819:482 comments 2 comments39 Visits 39 Visits
My step-sister (who is really superstitious) bought a house a few months ago which was really beautiful. In fact you could probably call it a mansion. It's a double storey house, is right in front of the river, has a cellar, a tennis court at the back, and 2 kitchens (a normal house one, and one fit for commercial use).

One of her friends who is a Feng Shui expert was here on holiday and he said the house was fine... but she thought that he was being biased. So she consulted another Feng Shui expert and the whole family was invited for the wake. I didn't go, because I couldn't imagine stopping laughing the entire time.

Eventually the Feng Shui Master decided that the house was alright, but the doors shouldn't be in a certain way, you couldn't use some of the rooms, etc.

Isn't that funny?

Moral of the story: If you buy a house to live in, just live in it already. If you just aren't sure whether you want to buy that house, save your money and don't buy it.
