I read the other day in the paper that the reason why our electricity bills may be soaring is because more and more people are getting the Plasma and LCD TV's in their house. Apparently, these newer, high tech tv's are quite environmentally unfriendly compared to the older style tv's.

I wonder if that knowledge would put any one off buying these newer-style tv's knowing that it is environmentally unfriendly as it zaps a lot of power, and increases their electricity bill in the long run?

As I wrote in my Refurber Blog, the Microsoft Surface will be coming out some time later in the year or early next year. It is a table made out of acrylic and steel which is a multi-touch gesture coffee table computer thing, which recognises objects from paintbrushes to a mp3 player to a mug. You can organise photos and other things too. I also read that it can be also used to play games as well such as chess.

I suppose as at a later stage, it could turn into an actual work desk. *hint hint* Or maybe I'm just dreaming.

The cost is at a hefty $10,000 - although I assume that it will become cheaper as time goes on, as most products do.
