Microsoft Surface

My friend showed me a link to the Microsoft Surface last night. The Microsoft Surface is a table made out of acrylic and steel which is a multitouch/gesture-feature coffee table-computer thing. In the videos it recognises all sorts of things like mp3 players and is also reported to even be able to tell that something on the table is a paintbrush or a mug/cup. You can also do things like organise photos, order food, and more.

It kind of reminds me of a modern-day version of those really old video game tables where you can play Space Invaders and stuff on it.

I like it because it's completely different to what is out there at the moment. In addition, I can see its potential as a video game table - you could play cards or poker without losing any cards or chips (which happens to be a frequent occurrence when a particular group of friends of mine play!) and more.

At the moment the product costs $10,000. Now that's a pretty expensive table! But in the future as time goes on I'm sure it will be much more affordable with even more features.
