This post is from from my other blog here Holy Crap—best news ever! We got our Certificate of Occupancy today! What's does that mean, it means we're done. Over. Finito. The construction is done and we can just go on with our lives and put this whole unpleasantness behind us. We can breathe a big sigh of relief and put a long unpleasant chapter of our life behind us. This is what I feel like doing right now…
I'll let the happiness consume me for a few days before I start ripping in to the the people and process that made this renovation a never-ending, problem filling mess. I'll tell you all about how this isn't really the end, how we now have a long road of work ahead of us correcting the many, many fuck-ups around the house, but at least we can do it without beaurocracy and a whole cast of incompetent people getting in our way. But for now I want to bask and be happy. But in a couple of days, I stop holding my tongue and will tell you all about what really went down…get ready for it…
