My name is Jane. My husband and I never set out to build a house from the ground up. It all started with a piece of property. We had a budget for what we could afford for land and a budget to have a house built. We didn't count on falling in love with 5 acers that had 1000' of river frontage that was almost twice our land budget.
We looked at all our options and decided that if we needed to be able to afford this property we had to do all the work building the house ourselves.
In this blog I'll be sharing our adventure and all the lessons we learned in the process from framing to landscaping and everything inbetween.
