I had spent a good year looking for the perfect house to buy.  It needed to be solid structurally, with the potential of being transformed from an ugly duckling.  I was wanting to buy in the seaside Adelaide suburb of Semaphore.

Finally, I found this home.  It had a lovely elderly woman called Violet living in it. (I have since named the home Violet).  She had lived here for 50 years, and was ready to move into something smaller.

While living in it, I planned the design for the renovation, however when it started - I had to move out for 6 months, as the house really was uninhabitable.

So this is the beginning....
