Granite, Corian or Caesar stone?

We are in the process of building our kitchen and we are contemplating as to which benchtop option we should use. We are aware of the cost of Granite and can afford Chinese Granite although we now hear is a inferior product, hence we are looking into alternatives. Our Island bench is 2300 x 800 and of course we would like to eliminate joins. If some one could shed some light it would be most appreciated.

I would also suggest looking at what's being done these days with concrete.  You can have it poured in so many colors and even textures.  You can mold in sinks and drain channels.  Another option is the IKEA beechwood butcher block counter tops.  They are really affordable and look great.

Re: Granite, Corian or Caesar stone?
I think Quandline's advice article is great as well. My 2 cents, Corian is the "warmest" of the options. It doesn't have that cold, hard feel of stone but it can't tolerate really hot pans straight from the stove so I didn't want it in my kitchen. As for granite vs. Caesarstone, we went with the manufactured stone over granite because it's a more consistent pattern (in look) and was a bit cheaper.  It's working fine. good luck with your decision!
