Re: LED Lighting
LED lights are an average of 8 times more efficient than incandescant, adn twice as much as flourescent(and easier to spell).  They are virtually indestructable, and outlast both by a few times over.  They also run much cooler, and light up instantly to full power.  And now the draw backs:  They are not unexpensive, and in my opinion, do not give good area light.  They are more concentrated than a regular incandescant. But that last one you should judge for yourself.  I would suggest you spend the 7-12 dollars for one bulb, and see how it works.  They are relatively new to the market, and the technology should get better as demand grows.

Re: LED Lighting

Max hit it pretty much right on the head!

LED's are new technology.  SOme people do not like the kind of bluish light they cast but some don't even think there is a difference.  I think you will see LED's being the light of the future until something else replaces them.

They are quite expensive but the cost is coming down.

They are VERY cost effective to run and emit little to no heat unlike our halogens or Xenon's we use so frequently now.

The best option as Max suggested is to get a bulb and check it out for yourself as they are not for everyone!

Good luck Angieh and Happy Refurbing!!!
