honed caesar stone -- want to polish it

i bought caesar stone countertops 2 years ago in honed concrete. i'm not having an issue with stains but i don't like the way it always feels dirty (waterspots, etc) (the fact that i don't keep a spotless kitchen does not help). is it possible to get it polished and/or treated in some way so that it has the more shiny polished surface without removing it?

thanks!

Re: honed caesar stone -- want to polish it

Hello,

I am not an expert with Caeserstone so I have chosen to respond under the know a little link.

I was curious about your inquiry and so I did some research for you and called the Caeserstone company.  I querried with the information that you gave to me and their response to polishing it was " warranty would be null and void".  The representative that I spoke with there stated that the patina is probably being affected by the contaminants on your top.  They recommended a very good cleaning which should bring the finish back to like new.

They recommended watching their video for recommended cleaning approaches here is where it can be found:

I have researched and to no avail have I found any information to the contrary of what Caesarstone told me.  I think the best you can do is clean it deeply and live with it which unfortunatly is not what you wanted to hear.  I will watch this thread and see if someone else has any input.

Good luck and let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Sincerely,

James D. Van Raden
